Re: Have you named your robot?

ours is Badunkadunk. its named after the sound the 4 train (which most people take to school) makes when it rides along the uneven tracks in the bronx.

We named ours Huh? since that was the response the mentors got every time we asked the students what we should name it.

Re: Have you named your robot?

Yeah my team just named ours. "Agora Tracer IV"- it has layers upon layers of meaning. Two of the main problems we had in this season were funding and programming. Agora relates to these two problems through its definitions: both the programming language and the currency. Our bot commemorates fixing both of them and serves as a monument to the future teams to always keep on trying like our team did. IV was put on there because its my lucky number and one of our team members is a IV.

Re: Have you named your robot?

Suprised Paul hasn't chimed in on this yet...

The ThunderChickens have named our '05 bot "Thor" due to it's butt-whomping "hammer", and its "Thundery-ness" ... yeah

Re: Have you named your robot?

We have a tradition of using obscure movie quotes to name our robot.
The names do err on the side of being uncouth if you know where they came from, but I can live with that.
Last year, the name was Uncomfortable Hunk of Metal.
This year, it is Charlie Foxtrot.
Go Dukes!

I saw Dr. J on the Webcast and I would love to show my team some pictures of it, but you guys have yet to post any.
It is so much like a design our team almost built and it works so nicely that I'd love to see pics if you can direct me to them.
Thanks in advance!
