Were you guys able to do that only once? It sounds like that was your last match and you ran out of tries to fix it. Is the system consistant enough to do it every time?

(ps, which vision tetra did you pick up?)

Re: tetra capping

Actually 1127 almost capped in autonomous mode at Peachtree. The picked up the tetra, headed over to the center goal but they were just a little bit to the left. The tetra missed coming down on the goal by a few inches. Unfortunately, Peachtree was their one and only event.

Re: tetra capping

I'm not sure but I believe I saw autonmous capping at the practice Day @ Peachtree once but I might be wrong and part of it was autonmous and part was Human control.

Capping the VT in autonmous is really incredible difficult in my oppinion. My team (1648) just went for capping one of the Homezone Tetras in autonmous and knocking down the hanging tetra with it, which we were always able to do (besides one match @ practice day where we forgot to close our pressure relief valve ^^).
I'm really looking forward to the nationals and how many robots there are going to be able to do it there : )!

I believe we did it about 4-5 times. We thought it was a fluke, but that night at the hotel when I was looking over the code I saw the error. The next day our arm on our camera mount broke, so they added a new one. But I had the camera positions calibrated to the old arm, so it didn't work then. By the time I figured everything out we only had one match left. That match we picked up the tetra (it was positioned directly in front of the center goal) but when we went to raise our arm the tetra got snagged on the goal. I think if we had a few more matches (we got eliminated in the semis) we would've done it.
