Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

I agree, as I'm sure of any of you that were at the Finger Lakes Regional, team 1547 is beginning to make a name for themselves.

They made up many cheers, screamed at the top of their lungs for the whole thing.

My congratulations go out to team 1547, they won the Rookie Spirit Award.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Maybe its just because I'm a GRT alum, but when I think west coast, I think 254, 100, 115, 192... but I guess I can make my list one team shorter now... *sigh*

I'm not sure what are the numbers of the teams but I tend to notice MOE and Miss Daisy. watch for 357 in Drexel, we're going to stand out, trust me!

I agree that the Waldo team was very noticible with those two chants, but the "Ole" chant belongs to a english preimer league soccer team, if i remember correctly. It is real madrid, the team with David Beckam

Real Madrid is in La Liga (Primera Divison). Beckham's old team, Manchester United, is in the FA Barclaycard Premiership.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

If you are attending the Las Vegas Regional, I think you will notice High Rollers. We plan to have a massive "Sea of Maroon" in the stands consisting of around 250-300 people. If all goes as planned, we will be handing out poker chips and cards We're really sticking to our Las Vegas theme this year.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

i went to a flogging molly concert a month or so ago and the whole crowd was doing the 'Ole, Ole Ole' chant before they came out for their encore. it was pretty awesome.
we attempted it at the sac. regional but it didnt get very far. the wave we started was far far better. slow motion, fast, backwards you name it we did it!!!
i think the BLUE CREW from team 1323 at sac. was pretty identifiable.
we definetly stood out!!!

That almost made me cry. Madrid is in spain! hence the spanish chants of ole (with accent on it, pronounced o lay)
Yes David beckham plays for them, but madrid isn't an english football team.

Hi

As an avid football fan i cannot let this go. ole ole (or a variation on the words, such as a name of a player) is one of the most common chants in football (right after vinderloo and the great escape; it does not belong to a certain team. I can half forgive your ignorance about real madrid being in the english premier league though, (i wouldnt know the first thing about nfl).

233, 71, 111, 45, 16, 27. That's my list.
One thing... I can't believe you all forgot 648, but that is alright we are quickly making a name for ourselves. Can't miss the orange shirts with blue 648 on the back... and me with 1, 2, or 3, orange and blue mohawks. BTW, we just won the Spirit Award in St. Louis as well as 2nd.

991 is gonna' be taking notice of you guys. Providing both of us are running well at the end of qualifying, we'd love to take another shot at a championship with you. We made a heck of an alliance in Phoenix and who knows, maybe someone else will be adding us to this thread should we go all the way in Sin City!
Good luck and we'll see you there!
