Water damage
Some non-engineer
tried to tap a 1/2 inch city water line above our office with a switch valve and a couple of hose clamps instead of using a proper pipe weld. Happened while we were in Florida. Result: at least 24 hours of water running down through our office; 3 inches of water on the floor; internet connection down, 15 computers destroyed...and the cleanup continues. Anyone wanna calculate the water volume of a 1/2 inch pipe under full pressure for 24 hrs? |
