Re: Most Tetras in One Match

yeah I saw the 1402, three sets of four stacking. That was absolutely incredible. Swampthing you were also blazing fast. At Hartford, 230 another scissor lift/dumper design stacked a lot. They were pretty easy to defend against though. Their only flaw I suppose.

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

I'm fairly sure team 230 scored at least 9-12 tetras in one or more matches at UTC.

a few times they scored 9+ but only about 3 per goal the largest single stack was in elims on one of the small middle goals of 8 which made it slightly taller then the 2 that were on the centre goal.

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

Yikes those are some crazy high numbers.

Have you seen any teams get 9+ tetras consistently from match to match, or is more of just a great match with everything going right?

We get 6-7 consistently with 8 every now and then

at UTC 230,20,173,126 were all scoring a bunch of tetras.

Uniterfered with, 230 could consistantly score 9+

20 probably scored at least 6 or more on average, as did 173 and 69.

126 has a cool move where they grab two at once and do a double cap. They probably capped 6-8+ on average as well.

That was our problem: after practice rounds we quickly became a target at FLR and had trouble being left alone... so we usually got 6-7.

I can vouch for Gael Force and RAGE for getting at least 6 per match.

our team gets at least 6 including knocking down one but at most we could do about 10-11 with our speed. (one at a time btw)

I cant wait to see all these great robots in action at the Nationals!

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

I bet if 71 was not constantly playing against defense and driving to a distant goal for a row, they could score 16, plus 1 in autonomous. As it was, they were easily good for 9.

Quite a sight.

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

We could stack 3 tetras at once, similar to 1402, and averaged about 8 per round, including autonomous capping. However, other teams caught on and rarely left us undistubed. What a shame...

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

At Las Vegas, 1641 (the American co-ed Where's Waldo) consistently stacked 6+. Usual mode was 4 stacked all at once on the center goal.

In practice rounds, Waldo could clear the side goals with a 7-stack, but never in quals or elimination rounds.

During elimination, it was pretty brutal and Waldo was a huge target, so we went for 2-stacks, usually.

I tried to attach a picture, but it's my first time and it may not have come through.

But with two arms+turret+crab drive, blocking becomes quite a challenge,

Re: Most Tetras in One Match

987 capped like 4 or 5 per match in Phoenix, like 5 or 6 even 7 a couple of times in Las Vegas. More important was the fact that they are (usually) caps on different goals. In a match with an alliance with two defensive robots where we were left alone, we were able to cap the home and center rows and attempt for a cap in the offensive zone but failed. One of the caps typically comes from autonomous, though.

EDIT: The rookie Waldo's were very impressive with their stacks of 4+ tetras, but much like the Devil Duckies in Phoenix they became the constant target of defensive ramming, smashing, even pulling over in some matches. The Devil Duckies seemed to have better luck in Vegas than in Phoenix with their impressive stacking mechanism.

1402 had a human-loaded ramp on the top of their bot, where the human player could load 4 tetras on at once, and then they'd just plop it down on top of a goal. They normally got about 46 points per match because of that...
