Re: Long Island Regional
WOW!
Great Regional, I NEVER thought that we would win! I still think that I will wake up any minute, it hasn't set in yet. Congratulations to all teams for a successful and exiting regional and we hope to see you all next year. And, another congratulations to all of the award winners! I know my brother already started a thread in the Thanks/Congrats sections, on behalf of Team 527, we thank Team 358 and Team 870! You guys completed our alliance perfectly and we couldn't have asked for better teammates! So once again a tremendous, Thank You, you were both excellent! Good luck at the nationals (unfortunatly, due to monitary reasons, we will probably not be able to attend) but we hope to see you next year there. Movies coming soon. |

Seriously, great job 527, 358, and 870. No one team carried the weight on this one...it was an alliance of 3 great teams, which is exactly what was needed to win. Have fun in Atlanta! (I told 527 that if they do wind up going, I'm failing all my classes to fly down for the weekend. I think they're planning on saving whatever money they have left and going next year instead, though.) Again, great job all around! Last edited by ZZII 527 : 19-03-2005 at 20:48. |

I LOVE FIRST!!! That Rookie Allstar award gave me the best feeling I've had In a long time. I can't believe we're going to ATLANTA!!! It was well worth the three long days of hard work. I spent what little energy I have left celebrating in the pit, and typing this. Finally I can REST! Wait 'til you see the guitar I'm bringing to ATLANTA!!! Anyway, I'll see some of you In ATLANTA!!!

Re: Long Island Regional
Being able to just sit and watch the finals was just great. The competition was intense, and just awesome to watch. It was so exciting that I forgot to take pictures! Congratulations to all the winners, we'll see you in Atlanta too!
Our robot broke three times, was resurrected three times, and left in better condition than when it came. Thanks to the teams who helped, too bad I don't know all who helped. I do remember though that 514 gave us an aluminum rod since I ran around frantically trying to find one *pant*... Too bad it broke later on, and we had it replaced by an interesting steel setup. Wow, Rookie All-Star. I'm speechless. The mascots were entertaining... I'll get pictures up soon. Sorry I couldn't catch them all... Last edited by Ssbfalcon : 20-03-2005 at 16:34. Reason: edit... |

Re: Long Island Regional
BTW- while cleaning up on Saturday evening, I found a L.I. Regional Winner's Banner!
Would the winner of the LI Regional that is missing their banner please contact the L.I. Regional Director for its save return. I believe it belongs to 527. ![]() Last edited by Rich Wong : 20-03-2005 at 17:53. |

Re: Long Island Regional
Are you supposed to get 1 or 2? I know we have 1. If you haven't noticed yet, we have never won a single award in our 4 year history with FIRST, so we just asumed that you get one banner.
We didn't even know you get 2 trophies, when I went to give it to our mentors, we saw them holding 1 too and we thought we stole another teams. =P |

Re: Long Island Regional
I'm 99% sure that Team 870 has ours. It was packed with our leader.
