Detroit Regional Congratulations and Thanks

Congratulations to teams 245, 217, and 301 for your win at the Detroit Regional! I hope that all of you are able to attend the Nationals this year. You certainly have earned it.

After two regionals competing with and against the Thunder Chickens, our robot’s tetra hook is morphing into something very similar to yours. A little lime green paint and the transition will be complete. Thanks for your gracious help with the machining Thursday night. You chickens saved our bacon.

Also congratulations to the finalists: 397, 33, and 123. You put up quite a battle.

Thanks to 1213 for selecting us and also thanks to 184 for your efforts as well.

A big congratulations to team 503 for winning the regional chairman’s award! There couldn't’t be a more deserving team. Good luck in the National chairman’s award competition. We’ll be rooting for you.

I’d also like to thank the organizers, volunteers and staff in Detroit. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The practice field was very helpful and accessible.

I would also like to extend a big thank you to the referees and judges. You have an incredible job to do and we are thankful that you were there for all of us.

Jay

As one of the inspectors I would like to thank all the teams for their 100% cooperation. I learn so much every year.

A special note goes out to 494. If any FIRSTer get the chance look at their wiring, it is so awesome. I have never seen such a quality job. Good luck guys.

Re: Detroit Regional Congratulations and Thanks

Congrats to the winners, that was one tough alliance. Thanks 27 Rush for picking us as your partners, sorry it didn't work out we all put in a tough fight.

Also a special thanks to 217 our pit partner that seemed to have almost any tool you could possibly need and 503 across the aisle which had anything they didn't and a truly top notch pit that has to be seen to be believed, and then team 47 who backed them both up with even more tools including the very handy battery load tester.

Thanks also to our best build mates from the tech center 515 and 519, you gave us a hand with our battery's and chargers and we couldn't have done it without you. (literally, we kept dying on the field in the practice matches)

I really enjoyed the smaller venue, the only thing I could see needing improvement is additional seating, somewhere? Sat was a sold out showing.

That's it for 226 for this year, good luck to all of you going on to the next regionals and nationals. Might see a couple of you at West Michigan, I will be inspecting there.
