Re: your favoirte car

I'll have to go with a German car, probably a BMW 3-series or a MB E-class. I am saying this because of experience. My family owns a BMW 750iL, MB 500 SEL, MB 400 E, and a VW Golf. I wouldn't mind a VW either. German cars are just meant to last. The youngest car is a 2003( the Golf) and the others are 1992(400 E), 1989(BMW), and 1985 (500 SEL). Sure there is some upkeep to them but what car doesn't. We also own a Dodge Ram 250 with an I-5 Cummins Turbo Diesel ('92). If were to go with a truck I would go with Dodge or GMC. Those things will last.

Re: your favoirte car

MB any Class except G class. It has probably the most advanced technology on the car I've ever seen. MY mom has 2001 MB C-Class, cheapest. Its computerized system has kept the car safe and stable... It never had flaws (for its programming at least) and detected errors right away and was able to fix it qiuckly (replacing lights, coolant, etc.) And the four year warranty you get certainly worth the money you pay...

But, again, I'm impressed with car's consistent perfomance over the years and the advanced technology it contains.

Re: your favoirte car

I wouldn't mind having one of These .

It's the 3rd gen Miata, just recently unveiled to the public. It's a nice change from the 2nd gen miatas, which suffered from ever increasing curb weights with out any increase in power or handling. I'm not sure how I feel about the styling changes yet. I had hoped for a more retro feel, maybe even a return to flip up headlights. I just likes the old days.

Some quick specs:

In-line 4 DOHC 2.0 liter engine with variable valves. A flat torque curve and a targeted 160 horses at redline (6,700. cutout is probably around 7,200). This is pretty much the same engine as will end up in the Mazda3 (replacing the current 2.0), but with a vastly different intake and exhaust track. The entire block sits behind the front axle again.
There are options for a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission or a 6 speed 'sport' automatic.
Theres no data given for handling yet. Given the 50:50 weight balance and the Miatas history of being for having the best handling for the money, you can expect these little buggers to be big hits at autocross events. It's been described as the first generation Miata done with the budget and technology the design team wanted 16 years ago. Considering how much I love my 'low tech' Miata from '90, its hard to believe it could get better.

And this one even has things like airbags! Just think, getting hit in this Miata just might not be a death sentence.

Can't wait for a test drive.
