Thanks to 1027, and 53

As alliance captain, and coach for 173, I would like to thank teams 1027, and 53 for competing with us in Chesapeake this past weekend. Both teams were amazing competitors, and no one expected our pick of 53, as they were ranked 54 of 55 teams competing but this just goes to show that a team could have a horrible rank, but still be a great team. With out team 53 our alliance would have had a hard time winning. They were left alone for most of our matches and just kept scoring in the home zone. And with out team 1027 we would definitely not have won, as they had an awesome machine. They not only capped quickly and efficiently but also managed to have a fast drive system, and could push any team that was giving any one on our alliance any trouble. So without any part of our alliance we definitely could not have won, and that shows how important team work is.

I would also like to congratulate all of the team at the Chesapeake regional, as you all put up an awesome fight, and were great teams to compete against.

As a college student/mentor and coach for team 53, I'd like to thank teams 173 and 1027 for choosing us to be part of an awesome alliance. I speak for my entire team in saying that the students, parents, mentors, and fans involved with these teams demonstrated gracious professionalism in every part of the competition and it was a pleasure competing alongside them. In addition to great team members, both 173 and 1027 had great robots - 173 was an amazingly fast capper and 1027 could push robots around the field in addition to capping.

Good luck to both teams at nationals! You will do extremely well.

Thanks to 173 and 1027 for picking us to be part of an amazing alliance. That was a great elimination round. Both of your teams have a great presence about you and great sportsmanship. Getting the highscore of the day was also amazing. I hope to meet up with both of your teams again.

Thanks to team 173 and 53. Even though team 53 did have low record, us and 173 saw that even though your record was low, you could still get it done out there. Like people said in the previous replies, all three teams made up a great alliance, and all teams did what we had to do and we won. Good luck to both teams for years to come.

P.S. Good luck to 173 at the nationals. Our team still has to work out the finer details, but we think we will be able to go. If not, we hope to raise enough money to go next year.

53 is also going to Atlanta for the championships, and I see via the FIRST website that you guys have signed up finally for the champs.

I also saw that our team was signed up to go to Atlanta after I had made that last post, but I was never told that we actually had made a final decision on going, I thought it was still in the works. If it is true, then we will see you there, but if not, good luck to 173 and 53, I'm sure you will both have a great competition and do well.
