Buckeye Regional Thank you's from 229

There are a lot of Teams that I would personally like to thank on behalf of Team 229. I hope I don't forget anyone.

First off Team 135: You guys were awesome alliance partners, we were in a race with you guys all competition to try to clinch 1st seed, for the sole reason we wanted to pick you and assure we would get to go to the finals with you. Your robot and team were amazing.

Team 1403: You guys were first on our list of teams we wanted with our second pick, and we were amazed that you lasted long enough in the draft for us to be able to select you. Your robot was reliable, consistent, and a great scorer. I can't believe how overlooked you guys were all weekend. It was a pleasure to be paired with you.

Team 67: Thanks for the great competition, and for being so open about sharing information about your robot. I know that I personally spent the lunch breaks both days in your pit drooling over all the cool stuff you have on your robot. And your team was nothing but helpful in answering my questions. Best of luck going for win #3 at West Michigan.

Team 1126: Thanks for some great competition in the qualification matches, both here and at Rochester. You guys are a great team and your bots are always top notch.

Team 1511: Thanks for being a great team, a tough competitor, and an even better friend. We were rooting for you guys all weekend, and wish you continued success at Toronto and Nats.

To Team 1590: Every FIRST team no matter how big or small is a success story, we were honored to hang out and work with you this weekend. Keep up the good work and have a great time at Nationals.

Last but not least thanks to 279,67,274 for some great final matches.

Team 229 looks forward to competing with everyone next year.

Chris Carnevale
Team 229 Pit Head 05
Finalists FLR and Buckeye 05

Re: Buckeye Regional Thank you's from 229

Chris,
you beat me to it! (of course I have been sleeping all day, so that could be why!)

It was awesome to see you guys at both regionals. 1511 was always happy to have you in our pits, and my team definitely looked up to you guys! We were happy to cheer for you, and were sad right along with you when that final match ended.

On a more personal note, I am so proud of you guys. This year has been such an amazing one for me in FIRST. You guys continue to grow and build a stronger team and even stronger robots. I am so proud of how far you guys have come! Im so glad to have such great leaders following me. You guys were always dependable when I needed something for 1511, and it was so great to still feel part of your team as well.

And while my biggest fear came true in the semifinal matches at Buckeye, it was also a dream come true... I was always afraid 1511 would have to face 229, and I wasnt sure I wanted to see that. Not once did we have to do it in Rochester, but here we were in the semis of Buckeye against the strongest alliance. If my team had to be beaten by anyone, I am glad it was gracefully taken down by 229. What awesome matches. The little rookie that could against the powerhouse 229

And although I didnt quite catch it myself, I have now seen on video, how the annoucers mentioned that I had started both teams. What an honor to have both of my "kids" in the semifinals. Thank you!

229 you have had a wonderful and amazing year. I hope you are all proud of your accomplishments. I have my fingers crossed that a spot opens up for you at Nationals.

Re: Buckeye Regional Thank you's from 229

I would like to second all of Chris' thanks. I had a blast working with 135 and 1403. You guys had great robots and great teams. Like I said to you after finals, if I could go back to the alliance selection knowing what I know now I would still make the same picks. We had a strong alliance and great run.

I would also like to thank 378. You guys were great pit partners with an amazing machine. You were always willing to help us when we needed something, and your First Aid Kit came in handy and few times And I also want to thank 1126 again. You guys are awesome and I had fun competing with you this season and getting to talk with so many of you.

To Kim and 1511: I can't possibly say enough about you guys. Thanks for your amazing support and I will be there cheering you on in Toronto this weekend.

As for the championship, while we are all disappointed that we did not qualify this weekend we are still hoping to stir up some trouble in Atlanta. I have been amazed by the number of teams that are rooting for us to be there. Thanks to everyone for their kind words and unwavering support. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to meet Denominator in a few weeks!

Re: Buckeye Regional Thank you's from 229

Thanks guys! We had a blast working with 229 and 135. It was an amazing alliance and we put up a great fight in finals. 135 was an amazing capper and a spectacular defensive robot. 229 was a great capper and a very effective alliance captain. We tried our best to compete at the same level as you guys but we found it hard to keep up at times. Congratulations to teams 67/274/279 for your victory. The last 3 matches were very competitive and exciting. Our team loved the Buckeye regional so much that I think that next year we are probably going to come back!

Thank you to all the referees and volunteers that made this event possible, without your hard work this event would not have been possible!

GO 1403!!!

Re: Buckeye Regional Thank you's from 229

I guess I'll fourth Chris's thanks, it was great working with 135 and 1403 in the finals. Thanks again to 1511 for chearing us on all weekend. It was great to walk around and see all of the great machines that were there. I would also like to thank (again) team 1590, it was great to work with you guys. You are such an awesome team and hopefully we will be seeing you guys in Atlanta. Good job everyone and thanks for all the help over the weekend.
