1097 happily thanks 368 and 852 :)

Thank you so very much 368 and 852 for being excellent alliance partners at the Silicon Valley Regional. Those final rounds were awesome and it was great to be with you. Now, 368, how about that Hawaii Regional? We'd sign up!

Congratulations to all the winners, finalists, and everyone else. You guys made SVR great.

368 in particular is an awesome team. I was inspecting robots Thursday, and when we got to them, they gave me an awesome little bag with a team T-shirt, macadamia nuts, stickers, a pin, an LED key chain, and some other cool stuff too. Same thing with the judges.

In the finals when they were given a tough penalty, they shrugged it off, thanked us for letting them know, and shook our hands.

Awesome team, on and off the field. 150% deserving of the Chairman's Award that they won today, from what I've seen.

Re: 1097 happily thanks 368 and 852 :)

On behalf of Team 368, we'd like to thank both teams 1097 and 852 for having us as their alliance partners. We had some early problems shaking down our machine (Bad Battery, loose PWM cable, etc..) and didn't end up very high in the rankings. Thanks to both of you we were able to continue playing in the elimination rounds. We're still on the road making our way to Las Vegas and most of our students will not be able to check the delphi site for a while, but I just wanted to thank everyone for a great time in Seattle.

To Teams 254, 980, and 22. Thanks for a very challenging and exciting final. 254, we had a great old time playing with you on the high scoring match. Anyway, we just wanted to say that you all have truly exceptional teams. We would have loved to have gone the full three rounds against you guys, but it wasn't meant to be.

To the Refs and judges, thank you for trying your best to make the right calls. It isn't an easy job and we appreciate your hard work an efforts at a job which sometimes can be unpopular.

Anyway, were looking forward to Vegas! (Wish we could go to the Nationals though). Perhaps well do a bit better in our rankings!

Re: 1097 happily thanks 368 and 852 :)

I would like to congratulate Teams 1097, 852 and 368 on being winners in the FIRST sense of that word, because you have demonstrated the ability to compete full out and then to rise above winning or losing a competition and to focus on the higher aspirations of FIRST. In fact, I would venture to say that you will always be winners in everything you do, because losing is just a feeling of failure which doesn't apply to people like you who understand what is really important and continue toward their goals of a better life for all despite any and all adversity.

Thank you for providing such an awesome demonstration of what gracious professionalism really means. It's was an honor to compete with you.
