Today MOE won the Philly regional and also the Chairmans award. I am one of the students who works on the Chairmans team, Winning those awards while i was near my best friends was the best expernce I have ever had, what a way to go out as a student. I can't wait to see what my last National's as a student will be like....
Kyle pretty much just said my proudest moment cause I too was one of the students who worked on the Chairmans and to see all of our hard work pay off, especially when it is also my senior year and my last regional that I will be attending as a student on the team. To hear them say MOE365 as the winners of the Chairmans Award, it just brought me to my own little happy place in my mind, as childish as that may sound.

Talking Re: Proudest Moment

My proudest moment was seeing my old team, 237 kick some major robot turf in Rochester and then again in New Jersey.

Another would include watching team 195 do a fantastic job at UTC.

Keep up the good work you guys!

One of my proudest moments HAD to be walking down there to accept the Bruce Power Safety award (being safety captain and all). And knowing all of that yelling to put on safety glasses or turn on the flashing light paid off

Re: Proudest Moment

I think my proudest moment of the season thus far was on the second day of qualifying matches at Philly. We were tied for last (I'm blaming it on no practice matches and testing out different drive teams), when all of a sudden we found two drive teams that worked. The announcer started saying things like "The blue alliance had best watch out for 1394", and we occupied in one match TWO robots on the opposing alliance in defense of our bot, and still managed to cap center.

It was pretty cool to know that even if we werent gonna win, or even get picked for the final rounds, we WERE playing competitvely with some of the best teams around...

Oh, and 'grats to MOE on their win!

our proudest moment was at the waterloo regional when we won with the help of team 68 and 1305. This was 1241's first regional won. my personal proudest moment was when i Tested my driving skills by pinning 2 robots in the corner at the waterloo regional.

I'm with Oliver on this one... there are, like others have said, no words to describe that feeling when you know you've put so many hours of hard work into something, and seeing your team succeed. Being a 3rd year student on a 3 year team, and seeing us win Chairman's two of these three years is something I'll never forget.

2) FLR Chairmans Award. Knowing what the award stands for makes winning it absolutely amazing!

Re: Proudest Moment

I'd have to say the same as Chris Sturrock. I'm also from team 1503 and those moments also were some of my proudest moments. The other one however for me was when we made it into the semi-finals and continued to work but to not make it to the finals. But the point is how well my co-driver did with me with our first time interaction with other teams robots.

Re: Proudest Moment

So far this season my proudest moment was when I listened to two of our seniors practicing their presentation for the Chairman's Award, which focused on the impact that FIRST has had on them over the last four years.

Re: Proudest Moment

there were many proud moments for me at the Philly regional. I would say our first match on Friday was pretty memorable, because our drive team was so nervous that when we won, we felt a mix of emotions. After we got knocked out of the finals, it was cool to hear everyone on our team stilll congratulating us and cheering.

Re: Proudest Moment

Being my first and only year on a FIRST Robotics Team, my proudest moments were on day 3 of the Midwest Regional. We went to 2-1 on qualifying matches (we were expecting to lose the third one but pulled it out ) and were the last pick for the finals (8 seed naturally) after being ranked 32nd.
To cap it off, I found out along with a couple other members of our team what a FIRST event is really like. The gracious professionalism is amazing along with the intensity the events have. If only I was not a senior going to a very strict school (see signature), I would be back for so much more. I may have to look into mentoring one of the schools in the new area.
