Re: 2005 Philadelphia Regional Closing Video
Quote:
1: Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project (as pointed out by badbrad - 100%) 2: Skull and Crossbone by Klaus Badelt from the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack (go Ducky, I'll give that a 70%) 3: Porcelain by Moby (Ducky gets a 50% for that one) This video really showed the two styles of the members that put it together. Jason is really into the fast-paced, quick flashes, and cool text effects while I am more into the dramatic music and slick cuts. Now for some little fun things Jason and I put into the video. They aren't quite easter eggs - just things we thought were funny after too little sleep and too much pressure. These are in order as they appear in the video. 1: During the opening flashes, there is a picture of one of the refs with ear plugs up her nose. 2: The house that is paused on is not my apartment, despite rumors my team is trying to create. Jason took the bus home one day and just stuck his camera against the window. 3: During quick flashes, there is a guy turning his head fast and in time with the music. The speed of his clip was not altered to fit with the song, we just dumped it in that spot and it worked well. He made it in as "fast head turn guy". 4: Shortly after that, Ron (the announcer) does the same head turn direction in the opposite direction. We figured two head turny guys makes a good video. 5: When you see 357's Jester Drive for the first time, the wheels change direction with the music. 6: During the dancing officials scene, everyone just looks like they are jumping up and down while looking around. Occasionally, you'll see someone do a leg kick. It was more funny on less sleep. 7: When 365 places the 2 red tetras, the bottom one breaks. 8: Pointy Guy (coach behind the alliance station) looks like he is pointing at Dancing Dino (girl in orange suit dancing in the walkway) and talking about her. 9: Guy in the stands raises both hands, then shortly after 834 raises a tetra up using their cool looking gripper. 10: When 225 drops the red tetra outside the field, that tetra breaks and the ref kicks it. You don't see it in the clip, but he was freaking out when that tetra came down - guess you had to have been there. 11: When the field is disappearing, the video is played in reverse. That's why the clapping looks weird. There is also one guy clearly walking back wards (in case you missed him). I'm up for doing another video, but I don't have all of the proper equipment to pull off another nice video. Jason was able to borrow a nice Cannon DV Camera from Upper Darby HS (thanks!) along with some external hard drives and such. All I was able to do was get a couple of really low-end cameras from Drexel's media rental service. |
