Speaking of George's past April Fool's pranks, lets not forget the time the owner of the Indianapolis Colts bought FIRST. Sorry George, but I saw the post was by you before I clicked on it, and that kinda gave it away that it was a prank. Eh, at least you're quite creative with these things; good for a chuckle.

Actually I have been meaning to ask this but according to a trivia slideshow that was run at the BAE regional there was at one time Nationals and Championships run at the same time.

Not possible. They are one and the same, the name just changed because of our Canadian and Brazilian friends

Both of those are right except for Puerto Rico. They're a US Territory last time I checked, unless April Fool's Day is their independence day.

Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States! (lo siento, soy Boricua and i gotta represent ) Speaking of other countries and whatnot, personally i like the ring of "The Championship Event" as opposed to "Nationals" or "Internationals" or "Worlds".. although the last two do give a somewhat better perspective on just how large FIRST has grown.

and yeah, this was a great joke... my brother called me up from school early in the morning (i'm on spring break and wasnt exactly thrilled about the wake-up call) saying "READ UPDATE 19!! ITS SO EVIL I CANT BELIEVE THEY DID THAT!!" and i passed up on him telling me, saying i'd rather read it myself, and immidiately went to the FIRST site, and tada! no Update 19 existed. oh well... perhaps they should have left it up a little longer, i would have gotten a good April Fool's Day kick out of it.

Nothing beat the COlts buying FIRST.
