Wow im impressed that you dealt with this as a team.

When someone is hurt (emotionally) the first thing they feel is anger.

Thats normal - thats how humans function inside.

Personally I think its healthy for someone to say "this and this happened, and I feel really hurt, and Im really angry"

the problems arise because we normally let that anger take over, and jump right ahead and want to hurt someone else back, to lash out

and it usually goes downhill from there.

I would not stop someone from expressing their hurt or even angry feelings as long as they dont go on to the lashing-out part.

If nobody knows you are angry about something, then it will fester and turn into resentment. Thats not good either.

You would be surprized how many personal relationships get destroyed because of this. Express how you feel, but stop short of inflicting pain on others with hurtfull words.

and again, thanks for dealing with the situation as a team. Thats awesome.
