You might be a FIRSTER if you'll only wear denim or hawaiian shirts.

...Your parents know all you think about is robotics
...All your spare time after the build season is spent with your FIRST team members or on CD
...As a freshman you're sad because you only have 3 more years left of FIRST.

...you still have 6+ hours of video from regionals to review and edit.
...you think that the aluminum shavings in your friend's hair look cute.
...it takes you forever to figure out that the "cool new flavoring" in the school lunch is actually Lock-Tite that is permanently distilled into your skin.
...your pocket has holes in it because the screws that came from when you opened up your crate at regionals got washed with it.
...you wish that you lived in a colder climate so that you could have snowdays that you could devote to working on robotics.
...you made friends over this site that you have never even met.
...your dad is building a VEX robot on the floor like he's a kid who just got a new Erector-Set.
...your dad will not leave the VEX set alone long enough for you to fiddle with it!

.... you've put a Post-it note on your forehead saying "I can't, I have Robotics" so people will stop asking you if you want to go to the movies/mall/etc (guilty)
...you've proven that it IS possible to live off of nothing more than caffeine and pizza for at least 6 weeks
....you pass up dates with not one, not two, but THREE different people to be at a party for your robotics team coach (guilty)
....you've ditched school to work on a robot

(Sorry if any of these have been posted before, but it's currently 1 am and I'm too tired to read through all the other pages of this )

You might be a FIRSTer if your driving down the street and see a street sign that says "Lavery" and you yell out DAVE LAVERY!!! And no one else in the car understand what your talking about..
...your team captain suggests painting your room FIRST colours and you actually think about doing it..
...your willing to spend until 3:30 in the morning to dig out a trailer and pack it for competition!!...

Re: You might be a FIRSTER if...

If....

.....you feel naked without a shop rag in your back pocket.....

.....you complete your physics semester project in under 6 weeks.....

.....you think a 12 volt battery is needed when a person tells you their car's battery is dead......

.....you think EVERY sports competition will have 3 gold medalist winners......

.....you get a detention in school for being caught on Chief Delphi during computer programing class........

................you might be a FIRSTER.

Re: You might be a FIRSTER if...

if you have succeeded in confusing all the employees at your local radio shacks, guitar centers, circuit cities and PC Richards, while asking for parts needed for a only semi complicated stereo wiring system you are trying to do in your room.
If anyone has any ideas of how i should go about splicing the wires in my speaker system(they have a + and - wire each) so that they can be plugged into both my receiver and laptop(but not played at the same time) via a headphone type jack( i saw one that only took right and left at radio shack, but not right left + and -). Please PM me if you have any ideas it would be much appreciated.
