Looking for a field to practive on in S.E. MI.
Hello.
Does anybody in the S.E. Michigan area have a full field to practice on? We have a partial field, but we all know playing for real against other teams is a big difference. Team 830 and some other teams we are in contact with would like to get some full practice time in with other teams in the area before the Championship event. I figure the more people we get practice with in the area, the better chance someone has of bringing back the gold to Michigan. Maybe we could set up a Saturday or Sunday where several teams get together at the field and we practice like crazy, help each other, etc. Plus, it would be fun. Thanks. |

Re: Looking for a field to practive on in S.E. MI.
Well..that may be alittle difficult...
In order to be able to go to nats and practice - you'd need a 2nd bot, and not too many teams have that around here... What about past-year robots that can atleast bother your driver? If you'll allow that, I think Team 5 will be glad to join you - but I don't know where to get a full-sized playing field from... :/ |

Re: Looking for a field to practive on in S.E. MI.
WARNING: I'm not volunteering the use of another teams field for them,
BUT if you contact Team 279 (Dana's Tech Fusion) and ask them nicely, they may let you use their field. |

Re: Looking for a field to practive on in S.E. MI.
If anyone is interested, the carpets from this years Detroit Regional are in storage at Wayne State Univ. Last years are there as well (we used them the the practice area). Send me an email and I'll get the contact info if you're interested.

Re: Looking for a field to practive on in S.E. MI.
We (team 217) practice regularily at our build facilities, but it is not a full feild. We also occasionally go to one of the schools to practice on a full sized feild (minus a few goals and loaders).
Im not positive we can just have all the teams we want come practice with up, try getting in contact with Paul Copioli (PM him). We are located in Sterling Heights, by the way |

Thanks for the offer. But, it looks like 469 is going to have a practice event that we are going to try and go to.
Thanks again! |
