Hey Amanda i got a question. I remember when you came by 845's pit area and you had that PVC robot buddy, do you still have it to keep you company? I thought that was pretty cool! Well anyway, great job at Palmetto and 845 will cya at Nationals.

Yup... I am ending my FIRST career as a student at the big house.

... But I will be back as a mentor and a volunteer. Just like Evan (from my team) says, "Arefin will never quit FIRST."

Re: 2005 Palmetto Regional

Thanks for everyone for the complements.

Thanks to team 25 and 301 for accepting to be in our alliance. I'm still completly positive that our alliance was the best we could have done. Too bad things happend that way. Although I don't agree with the ref's call in the 3rd match of the finals we accept it because a ref's call is a final call.

Also special thanks to team 845 for being so kind with us and giving us such a warm time in their state. You guys are awsome and your robot is a great machine.

Thanks everyone and see you all at The Championships.

Dave

Hey all~ Just don't forget about 1051 ~ Swamp was great, and I know they will agree with me, it wouldn't have happened without 1051 =) The strategy was what won it, the teamplay in my opinion was unapproachable and I think these are the only teams we could have won with

edit: oops - bad memory
1051 gave us a hard time with 61 and 108 at UCF in the QF's, they capped like crazy!

At Palmetto 1051 adapted and played defense for us in the second two matches of finals giving 1466 and us time to put up the extra rows at the end.

Thanks Kyle, but I give a lot of credit to the alliances we've had. It's a team effort all the way, and great to work with teams like these

I posted a picture of the back center goal stack for disscussion at
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36921

It was awesome.
The red endzone had another unusual tetra position. (see attached)
1251 was down for the count but didn't give up without a fight.

As the announcer I could not follow all the action. It was the most exciting 2.25 minutes in many years for me. I know for the drivers and teams it will be savored for a long time to come.

Re: 2005 Palmetto Regional Final match picture

How could I forget? Thanks to the judges, refs, crew (specially for answering all of my stupid questions) and of course the MC and announcer! The MC and announcer were so excited and enthusiastic while doing their jobs, it really made the event special!
