Assuming other people are savvy enough and have an uncommon provider, would it be acceptable to allow users to enter their whole txt-message address themselves?

You could even disguise it as a "normal e-mail address" field and then the savvy people could just put their cell phone in there.

I'll have to add their provider to the list. I don't want to make it too complex on the back end.
