Re: What kind of car do you drive??

Although all of these cars sound very impressive I must assure all of you that I in fact drive the most $@#$@#$@#$@#$@#ing ride of call. Drum roll please...1988 Ford Tempo. This beautiful 2 door cassette playing machine comes complete with a front bumper held up with only duct tape, the seat belts only work if you open the door AFTER you have done it up, AND it only broke down 10 times this last winter! Please no need to push and shove...I can take all of you for a spin.

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

My car is 99% the samething - but all black. It even has *4* bucket seats - yes, no bench in the rear - and it's all cloth! Also - has the 16 optional rims (Much better looking IMHO) But it does have the sun/moon roof and all the options of the 1989 model year! W00T!

3.1 V-6, all digital dash cluster, engine replaced ~5 years ago (thanks to the intake previously noted in this thread) and the trans is just a little over a year old (Still has 2 years warantee - Jasper tranny!)

That's about it - happy motoring!!

A beautiful Chocolate-Brown 1990 Oldsmobile Delta '88. The all digital displays are kinda wierd, and the fuel gauge never displays less than half a tank.

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

This morning I test drove a 2005 50th Anniversary Ford ThunderBird Convertible.
OH YEAH this thing is sweet, and I am a dodge guy. But this is probably the only car in my opinion that Ford has done right. With the 3.9L V8 putting out close to 280 HP this car flys. I still have goose bumps.

LOL. Goosebumps from the new thunderbird? Test drive a GT mustang, GTO, Trans am, Camaro or Any corvette. I was luck enough to do a ride along at a Autocross in a 96 corvette C4, That car will put you in the seats!!! The torque of those cars is simply amazing!!

The EV 1 felt faster off the line then a standard corvette. I got to ride along in side by side comparisons in a Corvette, Mustang, Trans-am and Camaro in 2001. I was also in a EV1 on a nearby track.

The EV 1 was a GM limited production/test car. It was all electric and was only available for lease during the late 90s in California. All electric means all torque available all the time. It was an amazing vehicle, but sadly, GM destroyed them all rather then sell them. Coefficent of drag of 0.19? Axel torque of 1206 lb ft? Electric landspeed record of 183 MPH?
Brilliant piece of engineering. A few more factoids.

1988 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 4x4 of course, but it's got problems and I might end up having to get a plain old car *sobs*

Well today just kept getting better and better. After the T-bird a friend of mine tossed me the keys to a 1978 Stingray Vette, and says heres a few bucks go put some gas in her. Then I come back and jokingly I ask if I can borrow the vette for my date, and again was tossed the keys. OH YEAH, first the bird then a vette. Today was just awesome.

Ah yes I rember the EV-1 Quite well, but I must admit those are some very fascinating numbers! I could see how it felt so fast of the line with that much torque. I simply belive that the ev1 was simply too far ahead of its time.

Nice work Bchan! Feel that GM power!! Now if only we could get you to part ways with those Mopars

NEVER, Mopar is still the best however I do have appreciation for muscle cars, like the Vette and the T- Bird. It was fun driving in a piece of history and heritage. But Mopar will always be the best to me.
