Custom Programed PICs

I have recently started a service of my own, coding and programming microchip PIC16F microcontrollers. This is a hobby that has grown for me, and I figure that if a team could benefit from it, I should present the opportunity.

I know that the C on the RC doesn't make it exactly easy to get timings and stuff right, and that the program is probably busy all ready.

To keep this from being just a plug for my own "business" (not exactly one yet...) I'll make an offer for FIRST teams. With things that I have the code done for already, I will offer reduced prices, most likely they will be the same as which it costs me to get the PICs.

I will do custom work for teams, with reduced development costs, however, after development is done, I will make it available to other teams.

http://www.geocities.com/jmhtau/index.htm is the website

Now, as for why this is in programming.

A few of the things I have thought of that would be helpful for us programmers would be a 8-bit or 4-bit parallel with enable line to I2C converters. That would simplify interfacing with an external EEPROM.
Or again, a parallel interface to hook up to a HD44780 LCD display, Let the PIC handle the timings and the control lines. Wouldn't it be nice to know what is wrong with the bot all the time, and not need a PC?
Ive been thinking about a 4x quadrature decoder. Get the maximum 4 counts per cycle on the encoder, but with the simplicity of 1 count per cycle (wait for rising edge on B, see if A is high or low...)

For those of you interested, Email me, JHPics@gmail.com please put 'CheifDelphi' in the subject line. Or for more information look at the web site.
I hope I can make a few programmer's lives easier somehow.
