Re: Hairline Fractures

Wow, you guys are in some major pain. Mine is more of an ongoing pain, and has major bruising and a major limp attached to it. Now, I could pull a Wetzel (with all due respect) and be on crutches, or I could hope nothing is wrong and it'll go away. I'm just very concerned that it will stay that way and cause problems, especially with the amount of walking I'll have to do in ATL. It gets worse the more stress I put on it, so I've been steering clear of heavy work.

I just hope Heidi dosn't read this thread...

By their nature, hairline fractures are really hard to dx. Unless you get the right xrays, it is easy to miss. This is really the only way to say one way or another about a hairline fracture.

As for my toe, nothing broke. I've never broken any bone at anytime, but this is my first dislocation. I'm going to link to a picture, but be warned: You can see the middle phalange of toe III sticking out of the skin. It was interesting, the ortho docs had to talk for a minute to figure out the name of the joint, because it is apparently an oddball one. The distal interphalangeal joint on phalange III, DIP-III.
Dislocated toe. Blood and bone. Of course, Brandon may remove it.

I guess spell check dosn't like those words cause it gave me an error.

Re: Hairline Fractures

In the operator's manual that came with my body...Sec.1, par.1. "If it hurts, it is your body telling you not to do it anymore!"
Do what the Doc says...

Re: Hairline Fractures

i Had a random hairline fracture on my left leg once.

other than that, i broke my right leg in 2 places and my right arm (if ur going to championships, you can see the scar where the bone stuck out ) while riding my bike down Blue Ridge.

Messed up L1 and L2 on my spine at a wrestling tournament. The guy picked me straight up, lost his balance and ended up dropping my back on his knee. Also broke my sternum wrestling.

got a hairline fracture on my skull after a car accident.

and finally, i broke 2 ribs playing football. dove for the ball, didn't see the pole, and BAM.

yup, besides all that, i think I'm a healthy kid
