Go to Post I'm wondering just what you think the people who DID set this system up actually do for a living instead? Sheep farmers? - DonRotolo [more]

Red/Blue starting side?

Does anyone know which side the red and blue teams will be on in Atlanta? For our team's scouting system, we are using six binders, 3 red and 3 blue. Each one will have a diagram in the front showing exactly which robot's position the person holding the binder is supposed to be scouting. In order to do this, I need to know if red will be on the left or right, and vice versa.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Red/Blue starting side?

If you're looking down at the field from the stands, red will be on your left, and blue will be on your right.

Re: Red/Blue starting side?

All instances are as you face the field from the stands and only apply to the championship event, cause that's only where I checked:

2004:
  • Galileo, Newton, Archimedes, & Curie - Red to your right.
  • Einstein - Red to your left.
2003:
  • Galileo, Newton, Archimedes, & Curie - Red to your right.
  • Einstein - Red to your left.
2002:
  • Newton: Red to your left.
  • Einstein: Red to your left.
2001: Who knows.. there was only 1 side, and 4 colors. Green, Yellow, Red, & Blue

2000 and back: ?
