Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

We are always in a team meeting at 3:41 so that is cool. But on the way down to the philly regional we pass exit 341. And on rare occasions during the daily run to wawa during build season we have totals that come to 3.41 which is awesome!

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

i see 233 on a regular basis... for gas prices. >.< its amusing to see but it does hurt my wallet when i've got to go to the pump. and i too have been associating team numbers with time and money and such... the price for a bottle of Bawls at the 7-11 near my house is $1.79, so natually i figured "hey look! Children of the Swamp!" and i got mad at a friend of mine who started to take the price tag off. lol i did the "there are MOE days in a year" thing too a few days ago... ^^;

edit/ last year, my locker number was 233... ^_^ my goal is every year to get a locker number associated with a FIRST team...

VCU was pretty interesting. We had a win-loss record of 4-0-1 after the first day, and at the team social, we were heading up to the fourth floor classroom to eat: room 401.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Not exactly a team number, but did anybody notice the skyscraper with the big blue and white GP sign on it? I think FIRST is trying to go sublimnal. (Saw it at the "party")

Also, on an unrelated note, did anybody recieve a email from Bob Hughes Photography? The entire photography subteam on my team did...

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I work as a cashier in a grocery store so when the final total comes up I always think ok whos number is this, I have now made it into a little game I play. One time I was checking this lady out and my team number popped up and I said Yes Team Fusion baby, the lady kinda looked at me wierd so now i say the team name in my head when the number comes up.

Monday April 26, I was order #269 at Taco Bell.

I sure hope that I don't see that as a gas price in the near future.

I am so glad there are other people out there like me! My family thought I was weird when I would hear town names or team numbers and I would automaticly associate them with a FIRST team and start rambling off every thing I know about the team.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I made a video for team 97 that turned out to be exactly 5 minutes and 27 seconds in length by coincidence. A member from my HS Team (527) pointed this out to me. So when I actually did 527's video, I made it 5:27 also, this time on purpose.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Ha, yesterday I went to Taco Bell with some friends, and our total was $12.59 (my brother's team!) ... later, I was looking at gas prices and noticed it dropped to $2.34 to $2.29 ... and a girl down the hall mentioned she was moving to room #365 next semester.

We are all very strange (but fun!) people.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Wow, our gas prices are more around $2.69, go Cali. I'm always seeing other team's numbers, and mine a few times. I always seem to be order number 294 at resturants, too. And earlier today, my mom was playing a poker tournament and she had 1110 in chips.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Whenever I see almost any number to four digits long I think of the team with that number, their name, what they wore, etc..
Its almost the only thing where numbers have any significance, so I just see the teams numbers when reading books, when looking at the time, when seeing measurements, you name a place you see a number and I've thought of a team there .

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I work at a dollar tree, so when someone buys 3 items the total comes to 3.21 (7% sales tax) so when someone pays with 4 dollars (or more commonly a 5 dollar bill,) my register shows the change as .79 or 1.79 both make me smile.
