Re: The San Diego Lock-in and Scrimmage

Our goal is to top out at 24 teams.. but we only have 16 teams signed up- 8 more teams to go...
Hope to see you guys in sunny San Diego! It's tons of fun.. almost 48 hours of being around people who love robots.. after the season!
22 days and some hours left until the scrimmage..

Re: The San Diego Lock-in and Scrimmage

Besides my question of "will there be a mentor's only round" I have another question.

Will there be a truck pull or tug of war competition? I think we can win that with this.

Even if there ins't an official pulling competition, I still challenge anyone to try to out pull us. Perhaps 2 at a time? Note, I can't speak for the rest of 696 so if they don't want to do it we won't, but I do think they'd be up for a good pull or two

And even beyond pulling, maybe a few of you would like to engage us in a pushing match during actual game play. Maybe even team up on us. No one ever really challenged us into a pushing match at the LA regional (because the mere threat of a 6 motor two speed made them run away ) but I really would like to get a chance to exhibit the shear power of the HexaMax R2. Mwuhahaha

Hey David, we'll take you up on that offer. We may not have a 6 motor drive train...but hey, we have a turbo button. We never used it at Atlanta during competition, but we tried it tethered out on the practice field there. We were easily pulling off wheelies...but we almost broke one of our serial cables. Hopefully, we can unleash its awesome power at San Diego.

WOWZERS... looks like SD is turning out to be the premiere off-season event. Who knows, maybe we'll get a regional here one of these days !?!?!?!

PS: It might a little too late, but make sure you have registered to avoid the late fee

Looking forward to seeing you and everyone else at the event!

I'll have an updated list posted in the next couple of days!

Also, we have not set how many matches each team will get yet. There will be ample match time, but we don't want the situation where you come off the field only to go right back on!

That's prom for RUHS. Personally, I don't care because I'm not going to prom anyways, but I may have projects to deal with (even my APs are assigning projects in that time period).

Oh you know it! I wish there could be 4 team alliances so it would be those 3 with 330. Anyway, I hope this time we get to play with some of these great teams in the finals instead of having to go against them. If we go against you, it will be a hard fight for both of us but if we are with you, it will be a clean sweep!

I agree! If we go against each other in finals, hope 980 and/or 22 isn't with
330.
We should see if a four motor drive can beat a six motor in speed and pushing power...

I won't be there due to a prior commitment, but I wish I were!
