Tri-State Tournament Announced

Team 555, Montclair Robotics, will be holding a post season competition this year.

Tentative Details:
The competition will be held on May 14th at Montclair High School, which is located at 100 Chestnut Street in Montclair, New Jersey 07042, at 8:00 AM. We are looking for 30 teams to compete in the competition. Registration fees will be $250 for teams and $150 for pre-rookie teams.

We are also looking for 6-10 veteran teams that are willing to donate their previous years robots and allow them to be retrofitted to be used in this year's competition. These robots will be used by pre-rookie teams that will be attending the competition.

Re: Tri-State Tournament Announced

Great idea, I love the part about teams donating robots for pre-rookies. I will bring this across my advisors. We have one fully functional spare robot for this years game, and could retrofit our arm from last year to pick up tetras very easily.

Re: Tri-State Tournament Announced

/looks at calender...
Me thinks "The weekend after PARC and the weekend before BTB?!?!?"
/will bring up with team.. but it isn't looking god. I would have to say this is an inoportune time for a mini, being so tightly packed in the mini schedule, but at that, there are a lot of teams out there now. So if you can get enough to sign up... go for it.

You transport your bot own your teams own terms for minis.
Whethere you want to pay $$$$ for shipping or take it yourself.
If it helps.. we (team 222) take our bot to about 7 minis a year.

Re: Tri-State Tournament Announced

1089 may go, but it depends on the other minis we're going to. I'm hoping we're going to trek out to PARC this year, and I'm not sure how likely my advisor is to do two minis two weekends in a row.
