Hi all.
Our team was previously affiliated with an Explorer Post through the Boy Scouts Learning for Life Division. Due to various circumstances, we are no longer in this affiliation. We are also not affiliated with one specific high school. Given our circumstances, we are planning to apply for non-profit status - 501 (c)(3). Anyone out there who has done this successfully? Any words on the advantages/disadvantages or advice as a team goes through this process? Any feedback would be appreciated! John |

3 words:
Befriend a lawyer.
![]() 237 got a local lawyer to donate his services to get their non-profit status through rather quickly. Best of luck. |
