Re: Teams losing lots of seniors
Team 818 first competed in the 2002 season.
This year, we're losing all of the seniors who joined as freshmen. If I counted right, we've got a total of eighteen seniors (including myself) who are leaving this year, including our main driver, strategist, and more than a few subteam leads. But we're a huge team. I don't think that any of the seniors are going to be irreplaceable - we've all been working with younger students and they should be ready to step up and fill the holes we've got now. I know that some of the seniors are planning on mentoring next year, while others (like me) are going to be leaving forever because of distance. It's a big loss, but we should be able to survive it. |
