Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Recently I've been using (team name)-th a lot in school. And I just realized that after the bell rings in the afternoon, I go by fire alarm #47, down the stairs, out the door, past bus #47, and then to my bus.

I also instinctively notice any familiar team number now. I regard this as being officially addicted to FIRST.

Edit: Hey, look! My ChiefDelphi-th post!

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I had a really hard time with my Algebra homework last week becuase team numbers kept turning up. Problems 11-26 (SparX) on page 365(MOE) with answers like 1.21(the rhode warriors).

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

my friend's flight number is 1345 -- which is our team name! i was so upset i wasn't scheduled for the same flight that i called for a flight change -- but they said i'd have to pay 200 dollars for it =(. so much for that...

When I had to go to the registry last month (grr) to get stickers for my car, I had to take a ticket and wait my turn. My ticket was number 67. I really wanted to keep it, but the person that helped me took it away.

Well, I think that's true of a lot of phone numbers, at least those with last four digits less than 1700.

716 is the area code for Western New York (I think), i.e. near Buffalo.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

At the chinese restaraunt in the omni center, if you order combo #2 (two sides and fried rice) with a medium coke and pay with a $10 bill, your change will come out to $3.22.

Before leaving for Atlanta last year, I bought a magazine and gum in the Airport and my change was 71 cents. This year at the same airport store, my change came up to $3.31 (one cent off)... craaaaazy how the nats champion is predicted with both of these purchases.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

*gasp!* so i was reviewing for a chemistry exam, and the two elements were Phosphorus (P) and Titanium (Ti) and then I got 1450 kj/mol and 1450 was next to us in the pits at Championships! and if you put P and Ti together, you get PiT! well, if you make Ti go backwards...the amazing wonders of FIRST! another team number moment brought to us by chemistry....

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

I was driving to a robotics meeting after work last week, and the truck I was stuck behind was truck #1089. I was on the phone with one of the students on 1089 and we were laughing about it.

Then, when I logged into my other forums there were 1089 new posts since my last visit. XD

What are the chances??
