**FIRST EMAIL**/FIRST FRC team to be featured on ABC News Nightline tonight!

Hi all,

This message was sent out today to FRC and FLL teams....

Greetings Teams:

Here is an e-mail we received from Team Mentor, Dr. Allan Cameron. FRC team 842, the FIRST Falcon Robotics from Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix, Arizona will be featured tonight on ABC News Nightline. Please check your local listings for channel and airing time information.

*******************************

We just received word that ABC News Nightline News will show the hour program that they did on the Carl Hayden Robotics club this Friday evening, 27 May, 2005

As a result of the Wired article about our MATE ROV competition, they spent three days with us at the Atlanta FIRST robot competition and three days at our school. They especially spent time with Luis, Oscar, Cristian, and Lorenzo. We are excited!

Caveat: Our show could be bumped to another day if a big news story breaks.

Go Teams!

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/FIRST FRC team to be featured on ABC News Nightline tonight!

This is such a great story and I'm really glad that ABC did a good job of translating the Wired article to the screen. The bit of the team with Dean in Atlanta was a nice addition, too.

So, does last year's success make Carl Hayden HS the top dogs at this year's MATE competition? I know I'll be rooting for "Smokey"! I don't see any mention of the competition on NASA's robotics education page, so I guess there won't be a webcast.
