Re: 217 Vs. 229 - Which Bot is Prettier?

with my vote for 217 makes it 94-91. I voted for 217 because i like the clean, sleek look of there robot. Im not saying 229 is bad looking though.

Gotta be 229, you see the unpainted silver robots all the time. The gold and black is better looking and sexier.

I voted for Thor, liked the bright color scheme that it had, which made it very recognizable.

Re: 217 Vs. 229 - Which Bot is Prettier?

Go Clarkson!

Ahem... 229

We have pretty good relations with that team since, literally, have of our team was dating half of theirs.

But! Now for real, less-biased reasons.

The entire robot was painted which just... looks better...
The tower was in the middle which looks nicer, plus it gives them a farther reach.
And for some reason, Dark green seems to show up better against a grey carpet than a grey metallic robot... hmmm
Also! The lime green arm and blue hand both seem out of place. If a robot is going to be original metallic, keep it all the same.

So the score is 108 - 107. Clarkson... ahem 229

Re: 217 Vs. 229 - Which Bot is Prettier?

111 to 110. Can 229 get back on top?

Clearly I had to go with my Ala Mater. As John said, both Bots are definately a work of art. I think its safe to say Denominator is the finest thing to ever come out of the Clarkson Machine Shop. Really though thats not the greatest of pictures. My favorite part are the golden metalic housing numbers off the front. About the comment on the Lance... Clarkson is known for its Hockey. *grin*

In truth though, I'm still partial of the Baja foam Wings from 03. This is also the closest voting competition I have ever seen. Gratz to both teams for their fine machines.
