I'm in the class of too close to decide.
As movies go: Episodes IV - VI > LOTR > Episode III Episodes I-II count as bloopers -_-. As literature goes, you guys have to realize that you won't understand LOTR movies until you read LOTR books, including the ultra-long Silmarillion. There is so much there that you can't get from a film. So with books, LOTR tops Star Wars with immense ease.
