Question Alumni...

Each year, one or two of our graduating seniors remain with the team as alumni. The alumni are mentors who stick around and help the team.

My team's alumni are treated very well. As long as we still work with the team, they pay our way to the competitions, where we serve sort of as chaperones.

So I was wondering, how many forum members here are alumni? And how are you treated by your old teams, if you're still in contact with them?

gniticxe will become famous soon enough
We have some students drop by every now and then to see how we're doing, but I think this year is the first that a student will be returning full time to work on the electrical subteam go brian. Luckily (for the team) hes going to the University of Delaware which is close by
Also, on a semi-related note, I'd encourage everyone to drop by www.buzzu.org and register.

I'm just finishing my freshman year of college now. I'm still on the team email list, and talk to the guys a bunch. I even tried to go to Nationals with them, but stupid midterms....

This year, I tried to help out the team quasi-attached to my college (I go to Drexel), but freshman engineering got in the way. I ended up volunteering at the Philly regional. It was neat to see the competition from the other side for once. But not neat enough to not want to be on a team again! The great part is I'm going to be home on co-op through the end of March next year, so I'm definitely coming back to help out!

~Melissa
