Re: FIRSTers and Legos

Ack I meant to click the last option! >__<

I used to love legos, and I still do. So fun and entertaining. I play with my cousins all the time and we have so much fun building stuff. We mentor two lego teams also, so it's a lot of fun being able to watch them do what I loved doing as a kid.

Jeez I remember going into K-mart and running to the Lego section. I need to one day have a shelf or two devoted to legos. w00t!

Re: FIRSTers and Legos

I have mentored 8 FLL teams throughout my high school career. How can I forget those days. Also you can make a lot of cool things with legos. You never know how the prototype you made became reality.

And you are in amazement from these sites of lego based creations:

And you watch in wonderment at these kinds of vids:

Re: FIRSTers and Legos

Even though I haven't played with them in a few years I still have a large blue Tupperware tote filled with them. There's also a cardboard box with the Techniques kits that I lost the directions for and I'm afraid to dismantle them and never be able to reassemble them.

Me and my sister used to cover the dinning room table with the road plates. We had a police station, fire station, hospital, gas station, truck stop, and many other assorted kits including vehicles.

I was never into the space stuff although I did receive several kits for my birthday or X-mas. I did get two boat kits, a police boat and a freighter with containers. They were fun when we lived in NJ and had a pool. I can remember my father going to add chlorine sticks to the skimmer and pulling out LEGO pieces!
