After ~6.5 years in the FIRST community I still find it strange when people say hi to me or recognize me at a competition. I don't think I'm a memorable or meeting-worthy person.

At SVR in '04 my team had allied with 258 for the finals. Being "Safety Captain" I was allowed to hang with the drive team...

I forget what the conversation was, but one of the Sea Dawgs said my name to get my attention. This really surprised me since I hadn't introduced myself yet...turns out it was Bill Gold...
