Re: dying internet

contact your isp. I have the same problem with my isp, except I am running sDSL. I have a guaranteed connection and if I have a problem I simply call them and they fix it. The problems I've had with my ISP was the modem/router. They called SBC (phone company) and they repaired some lines. then they came to the house and traced the lines. Basicly SBC has screwed up the phone lines in the area so badly ( from numerous underground splices) that it sometimes will disconnect every 5 minutes all day. then some times it will last for days. SImply call up your ISP and they can check it out. It could simply be a setting on you rmodem/router.

Re: dying internet

I had the same problem when I first got my cable modem... it made IRC and everything else a real pain. Calling your ISP should get it straightened out.
