As far as colleges go, RIT offers ASL because of NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf). So it's nice to have both hearing and deaf people on campus to be able to communicate with each other.

My 4th grade teacher taught us quite a bit of it, but unfortunately I've forgotten just about all of it except the alphabet....
