AP scores out
The College Board has released the 2005 AP grades via phone. It's an $8 call to 1-888-308-0013. You need (your AP number OR your social security number) AND your birthdate AND a valid credit card number AND the credit card's expiration date.

Re: AP scores out
I'll wait before I pay. *wonders if her AP teacher read at least one of her essays and knowing he's an AP reader*

Re: AP scores out
I have to say that the eight dollar fee thoroughly disgusts me. They already know the scores, and they're probably on a computer somewhere. So why not just release them to all the people who already paid 70 some dollars?

and 70 some dollars? Try $82 per test......cuz my school doesn't like to give financial aid to those who deserve it and keep the school test scores up. |

Hehe, I remember those days of waiting for AP scores. Now that I have a collegiate perspective of it, it really isn't that expensive. If you did well you just got a class or two out of the way that in college would have cost you a ton more. In Arizona, by my estimate, it's roughly $440 per 3-credit class. I came into Northern Arizona with 20 AP credits (6 from AP US, 6 from AP Euro, 8 for AP Chem), and spent ~$200 for them. That's about $2,730 saved, and $8 really doesn't seem like a big deal. I'm pretty sure that most people here are going on to more expensive undergraduate schools than NAU, so you're saving even more.
But yes, the College Board is evil. Once your scores are transferred you'll never have to deal with them again. For a non-profit they sure do have a lot of overhead. Capitalist pigs. ![]() Last edited by jpsaul7usa : 06-30-2005 at 01:27 AM. Reason: numbers are confusing... |

Re: AP scores out
For CPP it is like $970 per quarter for 6-16 units I believe. This quarter I have only 8 units so it is a little more per class than other quarters when I take 16. Kind of messed up but that's just the way it is. To top it off, the class I really wanted to take this summer which I have trying to get since last winter I finally got into it by grabbing the last available seat and then the class was cancelled.
But I'm going to check out the Rose Float club and hopefully get involved in that where I'll learn how to weld. |
