Re: Life is interesting, isn't it?
Atmospheric pressure really is enormous. It can shoot a ping pong ball out of a depresurized tube at nearly 200 mph. If you place a paint stick nearly half hanging off the edge of a table, and place a full sheet of newspaper (fully opened) over the half sitting on the table, then you quickly "karate chop" the stick, it will break in two. Incredible. (it does take a few tries to get it but it is the force of atmospheric pressure that allows it to break)
I find it incredible that we can land on a planet many millions of miles away. I find it incredible how we have full maps of the moon when only very few people have been there. I find it incredible that we can receive signals from a spacecraft that is something like 7 billion miles away. It is incredible how some insects can walk on water due to surface tension. It is incredible how canoes can be made from concrete. It is mystifying how rivers flow one direction on one side of the great divide and the other direction on the other side. It is amazing how we sent people into outer space and back with computers probably less powerful than today's cell phones. |

Re: Life is interesting, isn't it?
I find it interesting that there is no existence of the smallest or biggest object because there always has to be something that will go even smaller or bigger than that.
I find it interesting that a simple order or rearrangement of anything (words, objects, etc.) can have multiple different meanings that cover both positive and negative ends. Us humans have gotten to understand this as politics, ethics, and other forms of activity. I find it interesting when I find some people walking down a neighborhood street when right next to them is a completely clear, available sideWALK. I find it interesting that so many people have made money by attracting their customers to their product. Then, days, months, or years later, the product breaks down, and the customers have to buy a new one or pitch in more money to make it work again. This cycle keeps going, and going, and going, and going (Energizer Bunny continues the drum beat). I find it interesting that circles and circular, spherical objects make up a lot of what we see today. Atoms, molecules, tires, coins, CDs, DVDs, cans, screws, planets, and even sometimes comets, are all circular or spherical in some way. [Edit++]I find it interesting that some people actually ask "Do you have a life?" when you're alive, well, living and probably better off than the inquirer.[/Edit++] Last edited by JoeXIII'007 : 05-07-2005 at 22:36. |

Re: Life is interesting, isn't it?
we all originally came from the same group of early humans then diverted to different locations
hate and love have the same amount of letters and both are extremely powering feelings we always like to hear the bad stuff on the news all the time instead of the positive things there are soo many different kinds of creatures that live with us humans seems to be the most sophisticated and intelligent creatures |

Re: Life is interesting, isn't it?
I'm also interested in any ideas from the ordinary to the absurd. It's great to hear about ideas that others have come up with.
For example it would be great to create solar/wind powered cars that generated electricity as they were driven. Or someone should invent (maybe someone already did) fast acting tranquilizer stun guns that would leave their victims alive and be just as (possibly more?) effective than bullets. Has anyone ever heard of Hufu (human flavored tofu)? I think I read an article on it but I'll check and google it. (I'm not sure how that fits in but its interesting even a bit strange.) |
