Yes, maybe we weren't clear earlier in the thread, sorry. 2006 is the third year in a three-year Atlanta contract. We were discussing the Championship in 2007 and beyond.

I just read in the news today that Atlanta has decided to ban panhandlers in tourist areas. This could be seen as a definite improvement in our experiences in Atlanta. The problem is that it's a controversial decision, and it seems likely to get shredded in the courts as a free speech issue.

But I doubt this is the chief concern of FIRST teams about competing in Atlanta!

A lot of people put a lot of effort into not only the bid for Atlanta but into the bid for all the other competing sites. I was pretty happy when I heard the results but who knows, maybe we'll be in Indy or some other city in 2010 .
