Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
Seeing how my husband runs team 234 and I run team 393, I am always trying to find my number. However, when it comes to hotel rooms, there is never a 393, but always a 234! When I look at the clock, I tend to look at it when it is 2:34! THERE IS NO 3:93! In the county next to ours, there is a state road 234! The only thing I can find with my number is a vending machine phone number in Tampa, FL (i have a picture of it!!) where the last three numbers were 393...and the Wendy's restaurant in Greenfield, IN is store number 393.
Trust me...there are a MILLION 234s out there!! ![]() |

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
Hi Libby,
here's a funny one to tell your husband. Since you're feeling "left-out" that there are not too many examples of real-life "393", here's a thought. I bought a book several years ago titled "The secret language of birthdays". It's a combination of astrology, numerology, tarot, and "people-ology"..those born on your birthday. So, if I do the numerology on your team name: 3+9+3=15 1+5=6 Six (6) is the devil's number......maybe that's why you and your husband coach separate teams.....ha, ha, ha...Just having some fun with numbers. Keep looking for that elusive "393". Maybe you'l find it in a fortune cookie like all those people recently that won the same PowerBall number..... And lastly...may the "power of the numbers" be with you and your family during this time in your lives; our thoughts are with you all..... ADDED: I went and re-read your "thank you" thread. Want some even weirder "numbers"? Your family's accident occurred on 4/8/2005. 4+8=12 1+2=3....there's lots of good examples of three a) god, country and FIRST b) mother, father, children c) build, compete, win d) teach, mentor, learn have a good one.................................... Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I found this while looking online, after being told about it at nationals during the Vex dinner.
1. Pick any three digit number. (ie 123) 2. Reverse that number. (ie 321) 3. Subract the smaller number from the larger number. (ie 321-123 = 198) 4. Reverse the answer. (ie 891) 5. Add that number to the unreversed number. (ie 198 + 981) 6. The answer will be...1089!!! Also, another random fact. 33^2 = 1089. Enjoy these little random facts. ^_^ |

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
And now I have 116 posts... sorry I couldnt help it. But 116 has some awesome drive trains.
Anyway... was doing some calculative stuff on gearboxes and the number 222 kept coming up. Hmm.. subliminal messages telling me to build a three speed... funky. |

I know this thread has been hiding for months and months but I did search and I didn't create a new thread.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I was taking a road trip to Minnesota a week or so ago. Anyways, on I-435 in Kansas City, there's an exit for Winner Road. Wouldn't you know it'd be Exit 58? I hope that isn't some sort of omen.....
Also, did anyone else know there's only 1 team in the entire state of Minnesota? |

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I swear everywhere I look I see a new 67... our team actually started taking pictures of them all for fun, like ACO always has something on sale for $0.67
it's pretty bad when a road in your town is named "FIRST" .... |

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I saw my teams number in two places lately. Well actually on TV. on the show Seinfeld during the episode "The English Patent" in the hospital the room across the hall is room 204. 204 can also be seen in the Movie The Italian Job during the scene where the armored cars depart the ID number on the left side truck is 204.
