Greetings to all,
I am doing some pre-registration homework for a possible second regional. We do the Lone Star as our main regional, home State and only 3 hour drive. We went to the Championship last year so we may not get an open slot to Atlanta this year. If not, I am deciding upon a second regional location. I am willing to drive the team, via bus, no more than 1000 miles. I think that puts the Peachtree and the Arizona regionals within the range. What others are close? How many teams participated in the two that I listed or one(s) that you suggest last season? Thanks, APS ![]() |

Re: 1000 miles from San Antonio, TX
If your willing to go to Western Michigan why not go to Boilermaker instead? It's sure to be bigger and better then last year...which is hard to top.

Re: 1000 miles from San Antonio, TX
Aside from Peachtree, and Arizona, I am not seeing any that are within 1000 miles of you that are not on the same weekend as Lone Star.
The next closest I believe is St. Louis at 980mi. Then Boilermaker is 1200mi. The Palmetto (south carolina) is also about 1200mi. The CA ones are 1300mi or more... The only one I can really provide an opinion on is Boilermaker, and it sure was rockin' last year.. We would love to have ya!! |

Re: 1000 miles from San Antonio, TX
Come to NJ for the NJ Regional's 10th Anniversary!!
There is nothing like a 1000 mile bus trip to the Garden State. See the sights. Visit the Turnpike and see the refineries. Trenton is lovely in March. You might even get to see some snow! If you do come up contact team 25 and we'll show you the sights. WC |

Re: 1000 miles from San Antonio, TX
Come to the Chesapeake. week 3.
Forget driving everyone. Cheap seats on Southwest-San Ant. to BWI. Experience the US Naval Academy, right on the water. 62 really nice teams, including at least one, and probably more teams from London. Walk around scenic Annapolis. Make your school happy and combine it with a trip to the Nation's Capital and Capitol, less than an hour away. Schedule a visit with your senators. Better yet, invite them to come too! |
