Capital Clash Scouting...

Hey, I know something like this was mentioned before... But I can't find it so I'm posting the following:

It would be nice if anyone with an internet connection that is at the Capital Clash would post a bit about their robot, their standing and their team... So let's get started. (p.s. Can we all try to keep it close to following format)

Corry Robotics Team (306)

11 members attending (10 guys and 1 girl)

Our robot is working fine, we had one problem we fixed it late yesterday with our hacksaw and everything is going well.

We are currently ranked 9th.

We can cap up to 5 tetras on the center goal

We have towed a small mini-van with our current drive configuration.

We are primarily a capping bot, but we can also cap pretty well.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me or anyone else on my team, because we will be more than happy to help you :-)

Thanks all, and I'll see you tomorrow :-)

Robobees Team 836

Currently ranked 2nd 6-0-0. (Team in first place is 7-0-0)
Veteran drivers
We are capping 5-6 tetras per match
Auto mode is working perfectly (Goes to straight to human loading zone)
NO PENALTIES!!!!

As far as work to the robot.
1. Changed left omni wheel, with a shiney new one.
2. Replaced a bent pnuematic cylinder.
Other than that no major issues.

Re: Capital Clash Scouting...

  • Team 007 Parkville Robotics
  • Robot name: Moonraker
  • 8 members attending (1 girl and 7 guys, I'm the odd one out)
  • Our robot works very well. We're working out the kinks in our autonomous, but we will most definitely be running fine by the matches tomorrow.
  • Our current rank is 4th. =]
  • We can cap pretty well, on the center goal we can cap until 3 tetras are on top.
  • Our robot is a capping robot, and it also can play defense.

Any questions, please feel free to talk to me or my teammates in our pit! =] Can't really miss us. We have black and orange everywhere.

Epsilon Delta (116)
"We're not last!"
Sucking(see inhaling audibly) horribly.
They don't know why, and it makes Dave cranky.

The team in first place is Royal Assault 357. I am at home but talked to one of the mentors on the phone. He said the robot is running great, no repairs needed. It is a capping robot that caps one tetra at a time. Four different autonomous modes, but the one most used caps a home goal with an on board tetra and knocks loose a hanging tetra. A quick 4 points to start the match. Most notable feature is Jester Drive which uses homemade mecanum wheels to give the robot a high degree of mobility. See this link for more details. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...hlight=mecanum He says the event is great and having a wonderful time. Wish I was there.
