Lightbulb FIRST Ropes Program

I've finally gotten around to start collecting figures and info for a multi-team function centered around team building, leardership, problem solving, networking, and, of course, fun.

I envision a Saturday or maybe a Sunday from 9 AM to 1 or 2 PM of a few teams coming together and participating in a ropes course, a set of mental and physical challenges designed to create trust and cooperation between participants. I intend to mix up the groups part way through the day so that teams will have a chance to learn to work amongst themselves as well as with other people from other teams. Adults and mentors will also have a chance to work with each other as well as with students. This should prove to be a very fun and highly educational experience for all. Like FIRST, the program will be a classroom without boundaries and learning will be interactive.

The event would be held in Mansfield, CT at the Mansfield Holiday Hill Camp sometime between the end of September and early November. A BBQ lunch with hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. will be provided. The cost would be about $30-$35 per person. I projected an estimate of 40 participating students with about 10 participating adults. More details to follow as they become available.

Who can come to the event? Please contact me via e-mail (Viper8LtrATcomcastDOTnet) if you would like to get your team involved. I just need to get a better estimate of the number of people who would like to come so that I can move forward and start firming up details.
