Re: What do Sponsors Get?

We have no "level" they are all equally cool in our eyes. We give out movies, a plaque with a picture of the team and signed by all of us, and we lend out our robot for them to display.

What kind of money do each of your sponsors contribute (on average, how much do you ask of them)

Well we don't ask a price. We normally get 3,000 dollars but we often ask for other things instead like good computers or tools.

Re: What do Sponsors Get?

The way we work with sponsors is that we give them a variety of options. For example:

Website
Uniform
Robot
(Other media withheld)

with a price placed next to each.

The sponsor chooses how much of a specific advertising medium they want based on their budget. Bigger budget = more space.

Look at the business models of NASCAR Teams. (Hint: look it up in a business magazine)

Re: What do Sponsors Get?

For us it's kind of random. From our list of like 25+ sponsors, we get like 3000-4000 dollars a year. Then, during build season, as most of the sponsors are tech businesses, they are real good about donating any time, money, or material to make a part for us. Some years we may ask one sponsor to cut 1 piece out for us out of our own material. Other times, many companies might contribute 20 parts out of their own stuff. It's pretty much random, and they always put us at the top of the list, literally.
