Re: More Pics......
WOW.... thats about all i can say for a few minutes.... OK I'm back!
thats impressive! it actually looks taller than the original. You know i wonder if having it be that thin is actually a draw back. Imagine sticking it in your pocket, sit down and SNAAAP! I wonder how structurally sound it is? |

Re: Apple Killed the iPod Mini
I read a review of the nano, and they guys who wrote the report ran over it with a car. Though the screen was broken, it still played music. I think these little things are tougher than they look.
On another note, I had an ipod mini as well as a shuffle however i sold them both and bought a creative labs zen micro. The main reason behind the switch was that I already have and pay for napster and the micros are compatible with it and the ipods are not. Having used both, i don't really see a huge difference, nor do i have a preference. i think the nanos are really neat but i really can not see myself selling my micro, buying a nano, and re downloading all of my songs. this is the artical i read: http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/ Last edited by Courtneyb1023 : 15-09-2005 at 14:16. |

Yes. I am very much in agreement with you and the majority of students with iPods. I call it the Cult of the White Headphones. I have a 20G Dell DJ which I use nearly all the time especially between classes (probably too often for my own good). I'm happy with it although I don't really know how it compares to the iPod in quality (it plays music, that's all I ask). Personally, I prefer the interface of the Dell better than the iPod because I feel it is easier to make a playlist on the run (without having to hook up to a computer). If I replace my DJ (which I will probably only do if mine breaks or there is a great sale), I might go for an iPod, but probably not the Nano. I am not for having to decide which music should go onto the Nano and which I should keep just on my comp, and well I am past the 4G of musc that the Nano holds. I find it much easier to have it all at my fingertips all the time. Plus the larger size of the 20G models doesnt really bother me at all. |

The Wash 'n Wear iPod
Not only is the iPod Nano nearly indistructable, it seems to be launderable too. I can see it now: post-apocalypse investigators discover that all that's survived are cockroaches and iPod Nanos.

Re: Apple Killed the iPod Mini
I just bought an i-pod mini. It's awesome and I got a three year warrenty in case it breaks.
I wasn't impressed with the Nano (why wouldi pay the smae amount for less memory? No thnks). |
