Looking for Official FRC Competition Field plans

Are plans out there for the official FRC Competition field (not a practice or "budget" version, I need the real deal)? I'm not talking about field elements like goals and loading stations, I'm talking about the field itself such as the alliance stations and the field borders and gates. Also, is it safe to assume the field dimensions will not change for a few years? (although lets not turn this thread into a debate on that). If an oranization were to invest in purchasing or building an as-close-to-official-as-possible field, which would cost quite a bit, could they rely on it serving them for the next 3+ years?

Also, if plans for the real deal aren't available, then I'll take a look at plans for a practice one. Again, I'm not talking about goals and loading stations and what not. I'm talking about alliance stations and the field borders.

To answer your questions, No the diagrams for the field structure are not out there. You can purchase prefabb'ed field stations from BriWeld industries who is the company who produced the drivers staions this past year for the fields at FirstFields.com.

I don't think that would be a safe assumption.

The field itself has changed in more ways than just size in the past few years. For example, patched holes in the alliance station walls are commonplace in both practice and competition fields.

Re: Looking for Official FRC Competition Field plans

It was safe to assume the field wouldn't change in size for at least a few years (2000-2004). But then it changed this year, so I wouldn't plan on it staying the same (granted this year's change would be relatively easy to emulate).

I would imagine FIRST would like to stick to the same basic arrangement as they have now to save money, but I sure wouldn't put any money on it.

The 2003 field was also extended-length, at 54 ft × 24 ft.

I hadn't noticed that before. Other than that, though, wasn't the field functionally similar to the others from the 2000-2004 era? (It wouldn't seem too hard to add another section or two of guardrail.)
