Next Year's Nationals Show

I think next year at Nationals FIRST should get Metallica to perform instead of some pop performer. Everyone would repress their hunger if Metallica performed. Think about it:

The lights go out on stage and this smoke starts billowing out and then suddenly the opening riff to Master of Puppets blasts out from speakers on the stage and Metallica appears. It would be so awesome.

Something to keep in mind...

As has been mentioned on this forum before, there is no way that FIRST and Disney could set up a show that would make everyone happy. Everyone has different tastes, and no matter who you had perform, you would see the same as you did this year...those who did like the performer staying for the rest of the show, and those who did not heading off to the park...

Don't get me wrong, I love Metallica's music but If i saw Lars, I'd have words with him!!!

He just had to go and lead the fight against Napster!!!
Arrogant rock star!

I agree that I would much rather see them than some pop star. However, with keeping everyone happy, they should of stuck with the cool show that they used to do!

Yes that may be true, but would you honestly think Metallica would perform? I doubt they would do it, plus if I saw Lars, Id shake his hand and then kick him in the groin.....

It would be great.... but how could FIRST or Disney even manage to get Metallica to perform?

Metallica at nationals would honestly be the greatest show that FIRST could ever put on....and as for how to get Metallica, first, you go to each member of the band and spray knockout gas in their faces, then they wake up at nationals.
Just an idea .

Nah, Incubus and 3rd Strike

Anway, I might not have followed up on this story but as far as I know Jason Newsted quit the band and they never got a replacement..and I doubt FIRST and disney would let good ol' James Hetfield in there with his bottles of booze

I'm no Metalica fan and I'm sure there are plenty of others who wouldn't care for it niether. There is no way they can please everybody so Disney tries to go middle of the road with a "safe" act like Mandy Moore plus little Miss Wholesome fits Disney's image better than Metallica.
