Re: FREE Autodesk Inventor Training

Well I went to the training and all I can say is WOW! This training was such a great opportunity to be provided. Thank you Autodesk!

I can't believe more people didn't take this class. The two of us from 696 and a couple people from the site were the only ones there!

I thought I knew quite a bit about Inventor but I still learned so much more. And Inventor 10, OMG this is the best piece of software I have come across in a LONG time. There is this new thing called "Design Accelerator" included that will make you gears and a bunch of other parts like iParts do but way better and it is all included in the install. And it has all sorts of amazing engineering calculators and formulas and everything. And now Stress Analysis is included! And the "Hole" tool is SO much better than in Inventor 8. And there is a new feature called Inventor Studio which will render a model to make it look more real and some other neat stuff (like simple animation).

All I can say is, Autodesk - you're amazing.

For those of you who didn't/don't attend one of these trainings, you are REALLY missing out. Please everyone, take advantage of this wonderful opportunity Autodesk has given you. If you think pencil and paper is good enough, or Autocad is good enough, just attend this training and become enlightened.

Now, for the little sort of disclaimer. The training does start off really basic. But the tutorials are just excellent, and even though I considered myself a proficient user, I still learned a lot of new things, even in the basic areas like sketching.
