Talking Weird Moving-Box (or any Big Box) uses

Alright, in the thread "what's the dumbest thing you've ever done" we heard some stories about taking rides down stairs with large moving boxes. I know that for student gov we've used them creatively since they're a cheap resource for activities for rallies and brunch activities.

However, by far the strangest thing I've used a refrigerator box for was making a human-size government dreidel. We had to sing political parodies of holiday songs right before winter break and my friends had me make them a dreidel with different branches of gov't on each side. A guy would jump around in it to see what branch it was, and they would sing a song about it. It was massive, and so funny.

And I guess those shipping crates could render some funny stories too...there's just something about those big boxes that people just get so creative. I wanna hear stories.

Out house costume

A couple of years ago, I made a halloween costume out of a regrigerator box.

I cut it up a bit, painted the outside to make it look like wooden planks, made a cardboard door in the front, and attached some shoulder straps to the inside... voila... an outhouse!

The tough thing was maneuvering around in this thing... It ended up on the bonfire at the end of the night.

You picked the wrong costume! There was a guy at a halloween party I went to last Oct. who used a giant cardboard box and made a Kissing Booth. He was very successful!

I created a time machine once... wait a minute, no, that was Calvin and Hobbes. The only thing I did with boxes was use them as sleds (in the summertime, on grassy hills) when we couldn't find a box spring mattress to use. Tried to make a raft out of cheap wooden planks and cardboard boxes once, but for some strange reason, it just didn't work

Now I better get back to work before I end up living in a cardboard box...

LoL, At work we have these big boxes full of stryofoam cups, well I had an emtpy one and was feeling bored so I drew a huge smiley face on it, but no holes, then proceeded to put it over my body and walk around with it, I think i hit the wall like 5 times before I finally fell over and decided to stop...

Rubix Cube anyone???

Yup, my parents made me be a Rubix Cube for halloween back in the 80's when it was still popular!!!

It wasn't a huge box, just big enough to fit around my chest, and over my head!!!
I still have the box after all these years, but it is hard to put stuff in with the bottom missing and three large holes where my head, and arms were!!!!

Sledding down grassy hills rocks, lol. I still do that every now and then

I made a pool-boat out of one once, out of some styrofoam packaging and a cut-up box. Worked pretty well, until about an hour went by, the cardboard got too wet, and i fell through the bottom....
